The 6260 Slide is a slide opening handset designed by Nokia complete with easy to use features & high speed technology. The Nokia 6260 Slide is a 3G phone which comes in a stylish & compact casing. The handset is available in a striking black coloured casing or a warm silver coloured casing which allows the user to choose the colour handset to suit their style. The Nokia 6260 Slide makes a great addition to the Nokia family complete with a slide opening mechanism which is similar in design to the Nokia 6600 Slide, Nokia 3600 Slide & the Nokia 2680 Slide which are all slide opening handset designed by Nokia. The 6260 Slide comes with a 2.4 Inch screen which displays up to sixteen million colours & has a screen resolution of three hundred & twenty pixels by four hundred & eighty pixels for a beautifully clear viewing experience. The user can view the 2.4 Inch colour screen when the slide opening casing is either open or closed. The handset weighs one hundred & fourteen grams including the fitted battery which provides a solid weigh without being too heavy for carrying purposes. The casing measures 15.4mm deep, 99.4mm tall & 46.5mm wide when in its slide closed position which will fit neatly in the user's hand allowing the user to operate their 3G phone in a single hand.

This stylish 3G handset works on a quad band network & HSDPA 2100 network which allows the user to enjoy worldwide roaming but the full network coverage is dependent on the users chosen network provider. The phone supports GPRS & EDGE technology which allows the user to experience high speed data transfer rates when transferring files between the Nokia 6260 Slide & other devices. The built in WLAN Wi-Fi technology allows the user to connect to the Web via a local WLAN or a nearby located hot spot which gives the user freedom when connecting to the Web. The 3G HSDPA technology provides high speed Internet connectivity as well as allowing the user to multitask on their handset such as taking a call whilst browsing the Web. The Nokia 6260 Slide comes with a USB port which allows the user to use a USB cable to connect their 3G phone to other devices such as the user's PC, printer or many more compatible USB devices. The Bluetooth® technology allows the user to gain a wire free connection to other Bluetooth® compatible devices which are up to ten meters apart from the 6260 Slide allowing the user to transfer files & data without using a cabled connection. This slider phone comes with a built in GPS navigation feature which supports Nokia Maps application allowing the user to gain directions to unknown locations or destinations. The 6260 Slide comes with a memory card slot which allows the user to add a memory card up to eight gigabytes in size in MicroSD™ memory card format. The handset comes with two hundred & fifty six megabytes of internal memory to get the user started.

A built in five megapixel digital camera feature allows the user to enjoy capturing still pictures as well as recording video footage on their 6260 slide. The five megapixel camera comes with many useful features & settings which allow the user of this slide opening phone to enjoy capturing those fun moments in their day as a picture or video. The camera supports Carl Zeiss optics & has an automatic focus which allows the user to capture well focused pictures each time the camera feature is used. The camera has an eight times digital zoom which allows the user to get up closer to their subject when taking a picture or recording a video. The lens has a slide action protective cover which will avoid any accidental scratches or dust getting on the lens. A LED flash will brighten up those dark environments when the user is taking a shot in duller conditions. The user can access the Web on their 6260 Slide & enjoy a HTML format & XHTML format Internet browsing experience on their 3G phone. The phones battery is a rechargeable battery which when fully charged can provide approximately four hours of GSM talk time or approximately three hours of WCDMA talk time depending on the other features being used by the user. The user can enjoy up to twenty hours of music playback time from a fully charged battery or up to three hours of video playback time. The Nokia 6260 Slide comes with a built in email service which allows the user to communicate with their contacts via email complete with documents attached which is a useful communication service for the user on the move. The phone supports a SMS text messaging service, an audio messaging service & a MMS multimedia messaging service. A MMS message can contain a picture or video clip complete with text & sound which is a fun way to share pictures & video with compatible MMS contacts.

The integrated music player is a fun entertainment feature which the user can enjoy whilst travelling or simply enjoy for entertainment purposes. The music player supports all popular music play back formats including WMA & MP3 to name a few & the user can transfer their music files using the phones connectivity options. The user can download more new music via the Internet & enjoy storing all their favourite music on the phones memory. The Nokia 6260 Slide comes with dedicated volume keys which allow the user to control their sound using the up & down keys accordingly.
